First track day in the C5 Z06 went well
Had my first track day in my Z06 since I bought it, Ironically the last PDS ever at Texas World Speedway, so bittersweet in a way.
Car is a 2003 Z06 with 70k
I psuedo prepped the car with:
MGW Shifter (Phenomenal btw)
Hawk Blue 9012 Front and Rear
Solid rotors Front and Rear
Flush all fluids including RBF 600 in the brakes
Alignment
Brand new Nitto NT05's all around
Other than uncovering the severe need for better cooling (~285 ish oil temps and ~230ish water temps) the car did flawlessly, I have some GoPro video from the last run group once i get it finished i'll post it
I'm definitely hooked (again)
also... at 6'5" i REALLY need a better seat in the car

If you go to the TAMSCC events and see Professor Bill Van Tassel, tell him Kenny (Auggie) said hello. I was friends with Bill when we both attended A&M back in the 80's with Todd Farris, Terry Fair, Chris Ramey and a bunch of the old school guys.

Yeah, it filled up within about 15min of them opening it. I'm glad you got to run it before it's gone, it's truly a great track! The NT-05's are great for a street tire, I've been running them for a while, but will be running slicks for the first time next weekend. Stop by and say hi if you make it out on Sunday, I'll be in the yellow c5z #104.
