Default Rival S Tires on a C5

I wondering if anyone is running the 275x35x18 Front Tires and 315x30x18 Rear BFG Rival S on their C5.
First question is do they fit? My concern is more the rear than the front.
Second question is what is your comment as to how they perform on a autocross and a DE event?

Thanks in advance for your comments.

Those sizes should fit fine. No idea about the tire performance.

I just mounted the rears on my C5Z. They appear to fit fine. I'm pairing them with 275/35 18 71R's. Performance should be religious but I won't know until this weekend.

You're going to have a tough time with the Rival-S fronts though since delivery keeps getting pushed back.

I was at the Met Lift Pro Solo on Saturday and saw that Mark Daddio was running the 71R 275x35x18 fronts and BFG 335x30x18 rears. Mike Johnson was running 315x30x18 BFG fronts and 335x30x18 BFG rears. They place first and second respectively and Mark was final winner.

The 275x35x18 fronts being on backorder is not good news. By the time I get tires half the season will be over. Let me know how the combination works for you.

Yep, I think there may be some advantages to mixing brands... in particular the intangible "feel" category may be better with the 71R. The fact that I can't even get the Rival-S does make the decision to try them out a little easier though.

I could be wrong but I believe the issue isn't that the 275 Rival is actually backordered,; rather, it's that initial production hasn't started. It was originally slated for the end of last month but has since pushed out. You may try calling TR to see if they have any details on the revised ETA and whether that's a reasonably solid date or just a best guess.

If you haven't already, put in the order for the 315's. The last couple loads have sold out before they reached the distributor(s) so, if you keep waiting until they're in stock, you'll never get them.
