Tire Gurus
Hey guys, looking to do 18x10.5 on all four corners for my C5Z but instead of square set up i want to keep the staggered tires. What is the "safe" margin for a stagger set up. I am going with 285/35/18 up front and 305/35/18 in the back. Will these set up be okay and not trip faults for my traction control or active handling?

The reason is because i have brand new tires in these sizes that i would hate for them to go to waste so i would like to use them in the mean time.

I noticed a little bit of rubbing on a tight banked freeway interchange when I pushed it.
I'm running 2 degrees of camber. Yeah it's lowered a bit
Just noticed your in so cal too. You may know the interchange, s 605 to east 91

I get slight rubbing when on 315's on the inner fender panel and the wheel rubbing on the lower control arm. As long as you don't go full lock you shouldn't see any issues either.

Running slight stagger with 295 in front and 315 rear this last set of R7's but fronts are really wearing. I will go back 315 square on 18's.
BTW, funny story. Dropped the racecar off at Firestone for lifetime alignment deal. Told the guy 3 degrees camber or as close as he could get it. Came back from lunch and sure enough, he put in POSITIVE 3 degrees. I now say 'negative' to everyone when discussing camber.

Little help please, are you talking about running 315 front and back on your c7, do you have mag- ride? I tried 315 up front and on hard braking( nose dive) tires hit front fenders, that was with a z51 non mag car, I now have Z51 mag car and I'm thinking in track( stiff shocks) maybe the nose dive will be less under very hard braking? Any thoughts?
It did not hit hard , but it did hit, new as you can see a7's, can the mag- ride shocks keep fender off tire on very hard braking?

[QUOTE=savage;1590796154]No, I am running a C5Z like the OP. My tires are very close to the lip of the front and have, indeed, 'clearanced' themselves a little. The plastic fender simply melts/shreds, but cleanly so. I can barely fit my hand flat ways on top of the tire. However, I am running poly bushings and stiff spring (1100#) with the suspension lowered. You will never notice a little rubbing and neither does the tire. In addition, I have bushings in the steering rack to cut out the last few degrees of steering travel. 18 square works very well.
