C5 Trackspec Hood Louver Mock-up
I'm looking to vent some excess heat from under the hood and plan to install the Trackspec Motorsports hood louvers. Initially I requested a set of mock templates to use for layout purposes and transferred the general outline onto painted poster paper. I'm looking for feedback from a function and aesthetics standpoint. The goal is to vent heat from the radiator and also engine bay heat being generated by the exhaust manifolds/turbos. Following is a series of pictures showing different combinations of T1 and GT2 louvers.
Standard T1 Arrangement
T1 Modified with Side Vents over Manifolds
T1 Side Vents Only
T1 Center with GT2 Side Vents
GT2 Side Vents Only

Are any of these placements impossible to accomplish due to hood bracing or the sheet metal louvers being unable to conform to the curvature in a certain location?

I have the GT2 louver set-up. According to what I have seen from the wind tunnel graphics is that the lowest air pressure areas are 1/3 of the way back on the hood from the nose of the car and where the air spills over from the top to the side of the front fenders.
Below is not the best picture, but it gives you an idea. Preferably the center large louver should be further forward a bit, but radiator placement is not such that it works.

Thanks everyone for the informative information. John sent me some templates for mock-up and I purchased the full GT1 kit via Tway Motorsports. I decided to go with the standard placement as detailed in the instructions from Trackspec. This places the vents in the zones of lowest pressure. The design and shape of these vents is excellent and really compliments the lines of the car.
I think I laid down the centerline on the afternoon of December 25th and then began and completed the install on the afternoon of December 26th and going into the early morning of the 27th. All of the work was done with the hood on the car and a sheet covering the engine compartment.

He has an aftermarket front ram air plate, they are nice, but pricey.
Here is a DIY thread to make one yourself, and looks pretty good too.
