If you run Motul RBF600 as your clutch fluid, I need your feedback :D
Hey guys
I'm prepping a c5 for autox. I did all the fluids(trans/diff/brake) to synthetic Redline and amsoil. My clutch fluid literally looked black. So I followed the ranger method and did 3 sets of 35 pumps with Motul RBF600. Since then, I have swapped the reservoir fluid 3x in last two weeks. It's slowly getting better. I know it'll turn fresh yellow in a month or so with frequent swaps.
So my question is, those of you who use Motul RBF 600 as your clutch fluid, is there any issues? (in the long term?) I have another car I track and been using Motul in clutch for last 5 years, no issue. Only reason I ask the question is bc I see many people swearing up and down about the Pentosin and GM clutch fluid. I buy these Motuls in bulk, so I'm not worried about affordability. I just need assurance from few members who has been running Motul RBF600 in their clutch system so that I know i'm safe (and my vette )
I should also mention that during the ranger method, I heard slight squeak during clutch pedal push. Which lasted maybe 50 miles and then went away.
thanks

Mine was just as filthy when I bought the car. It took the Ranger method a handful of times over a couple months with driving it to really cycle the fluid and get the lines cleaned out. I've used Brembo and Motul for the past few years, no issues.

Thanks everyone for your replies! I can sleep well tonight!
Only reason I asked bc I heard a squeak when I pushed pedal as I was on to the 2nd set of "ranger method" pumps. It wasn't there before. Hence I got nervous. But then the noise went away after I came back from a 300 mile trip from PA.

The Motul fluid is too pricey for the clutch, use the cheap stuff and change it often.

Melting Slicks
Oreilly's makes a 475 degree store brand in a black and gold bottle thats not bad on price. Brake Best Select, it's DOT4.
I remember some Ford fluid like that also.
I change my fluid every oil change, I suck it out with a turkey baster.

Can anyone provide a quick link to this "Ranger method" of flushing the clutch hydraulics?
