need help finding tach wire under dash
Looking to hook up my Traqmate to the tach wire
I have looked around and lots of them match the colors they call out in the forum
Any reliable way of finding it with a non penetrating probe. or other reliable method
Thanks

Here's a thread from where I posted info about installing a progressive shift light in my C6 Z06.
However, as I mention in the first post in that thread, I had previously tapped into that same white wire for an RPM input to my Traqmate, and that wire worked great for RPM for both units.
Good luck, and let us know how that white wire works for you!!

I did a search and found it, I also have a Traqmate.
Search "Shift light install" in the appropriate C5 or C6 section.
On a C5 there are three white wires behind the left side of the knee bolster under the steering wheel. They are covered in the harness and you have to cut them out.
I set my redline on the Traqmate really low, chose one wire with a safety pin pushed through it, started the car and reved it up, the shift lights on the Traqmate showed me I had the right one.
