Default Group Buy- C6 Steering Wheel Adapters

We’re please to announce our first run of bolt-on steering wheel adapter for 2005-2013 Corvettes. As many of you are aware, Chevrolet changed the steering column spline pattern for the 2005 model year rendering all previous steering wheel adapters useless. Most (if not all) adapters currently on the market are generic weld-on adapters. While great for racecars, they make it extremely difficult to reinstall a stock steering wheel if the car is ever put back to stock.

These adapters are CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminum with a mil-spec black hardcoat anodized finish. The spline pattern is cut with wire EDM to maintain high accuracy and a snug fit.

To ensure an accurate fit, the spline pattern was measured with a very high resolution laser scanner. 850 points were taken, each roughly 0.004" apart to guarantee the pattern could be recreated and we can make a snug-fitting part that won't wear loose over time.

This geometry was then replicated in a design that could be reliably machined and measured with modern manufacturing techniques. To verify fitment, we prototyped the design with our in-house 3D printer and bolted everything up:

For reference, the steering wheel shown is a Sparco R 345 with a 63mm dish. That puts the wheel in a near-stock position. The bolt pattern is a standard 6 x 70mm M5. Due to the large variety of steering wheels and quick disconnects on the market, it's difficult to predict exactly where each combo will place the wheel.

Given the high development costs to bring this part to market, we will be doing a group buy for the first production run. The introductory price for this group buy will be $255 each, with a $75 deposit required per item. Once 25 deposits have been collected, we will place the order, at which point there will be a 4-5 week lead time. Once we have parts in hand, we will send invoices for the remaining balance and shipping charges.

The final product will be 6061-T6 aluminum, with a mil-spec hardcoat black anodizing. Very durable and scratch-resistant.

Yes, actually! They spent about a month at the anodizing shop (ridiculous), but we should have them in our hands by the end of the week. Just got an update yesterday.
