Upgraded Daytona Prototype to paddle shift
This was a big project.
got new engine from Earnhardt Childress and new paddle shift trans from EMCO.
The trans & paddle shift unit together cost more than a new C7 Z06
Just drove the car at Mt Tremblant HMSA race in Canada.
It felt great, much better than old sequential box. Had some trouble during last race as it wouldn't downshift sometimes but we'll fix the bug in time for Sept 11 race at Homestead FL
The shifting is effortless and it will be very nice to have both hands on wheel doing 190mph at Daytona
Now if I can only convince my crew chief to instal AC
Here she is @ Daytona

In-car vids? I'd like to see it and hear the gear whine, shifting, etc.

That last corner when you're rocketing out flat out, that wall gets pretty close.
Real pucker moment LOL
With paddle shift we should prob be a little faster cus that sequential shift may take 1 second or 2 w paddles it's nearly instant.
Also got fly by wire throttle that requires much less effort
Still sounds & looks like a big old gnarly Vette

Safety Car
a while back i saw a series on TV i had never seen before. it was called like proto 3 or proto 4 or something.
id never seen it. appears to be alot of different style old proto cars. everything from small HPD open cockpit looking ones, up to enclosed larger ones with the dorsel fin.
thought it might be a series for all the old proto cars. cause they were all quite different.
