Default tracking laptimes

Hello everyone.

I've built a site called

http://www.tracklaps.net

It's to submit laptimes with vehicle data, I'm still making active changes to the site but the site is near 100% functional.

Currently uploading/downloading datalogger information isn't working which is kind of a big deal but it is coming.

There are also a few minor bugs here and there. the site is completely free and just something I've been working on in my free time.

I just got tired of trying to compare my times with others having to search through forums and threads to find somebodies lap that had similar criteria (track, car, tires)

I need yalls help, let me know if a track is missing so I can add it. Let me hear suggestions etc. I would really appreciate it.

I'm also assuming I can link directly to it because it's not a business or anything. Not entirely sure.

I like but have some feedback.

1. For listing the tracks to ME it would make more sense to have the name of the actual track and any variants of the configuration.
2. Temps column - would make more sense to have a temp and not a gauge of 'cool' 'hot' etc.
3. How about adding a 'notes' column at the end where the driver could fill in any other data that is relevant to that day?
4. Haven't tried on mobile but does it load well? UI on mobile can be annoying but then again maybe you just want to ignore that compatibility. Maybe that is why screen layout is narrow like it is?

If I think of anymore I will let you know. Great work

1.) yeah....so that was a mistake early on when I setup the database schema so now I'm more or less stuck with having track configurations as their own entity.

2.) you're not the first person to say this, I will make that change.

3.) Great idea, I'll add a notes section to the laps themselves.

4.) sucks on mobile. on my list of improvements.

Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks for the feedback!

I've added the notes section to the submission page.

I'm currently redesigning the lapdetails page (the page that shows the details of a single lap) and those notes will appear there)

Well, I was going to try and promote it here but I guess you've already done it.

I need all the help I can get!

The site obviously becomes more useful the more laps that are submitted. So the site needs exposure to make that happen

I'm not one for marketing. I'm just a nerd.

Thats a pretty cool site, found some elements from different themes that I'm going to try to incorporate.

I've made some backend improvements and got rid of some bugs. I think ill overhaul the UI some more if the site actually takes off.

Right now with 38 laps doesn't seem like I would want to put a ton more effort into it but if I can get that number over 100 then I may.

Up to 50 laps!
Would love to see some more Corvette times so I can see what I'm up against when I get out on the track for the first time.

60 laps as of right now! moving on up!

I think more people are starting to see the value. Without any laps it's hard to see the value. More laps there are the more value it provides.

At least that's what I'm telling myself.

Yep, I plan on eventually having every track that offers a DE or non professional driving event.
Once I get more laps i'm going to break down the selection into regions so the list will be easier to find your track.

I'll add all those tracks right now.

For pocono there is like 50 configurations, which configurations are typically used for HPDE?

all of them?
