Sainz joining Alonso at Indy?
http://gptoday.com/full_story/view/6...r_with_Alonso/
This would be really cool to see.
Max stirring the pot:
http://gptoday.com/full_story/view/664093/Verstappen_If_only_my_teammate_was_as_sl ow_as_Bottas/
I do agree if all the drivers, hypothetically, were driving the MB last season victories would have been spread around quite a bit (see Formula E).
IMO and FWIW, the differences in talent/skill at that level is very small.
Regarding Bottas, Max seems to have a new hobby these day: trying to get into his competitor's heads.
It certainly can work, but I wish he wouldn't.

Looks like MB had a real shot at Ricciardo:
http://gptoday.com/full_story/view/6...talks_in_2018/
I don't understand why they didn't sign him.
To my mind, he is a superior racer to Bottas (who is good IMO).
Hamilton DID say during the season he would be happy to have him as teammate.
Horner reveals what DR told him about the Renault move:
http://gptoday.com/full_story/view/6...ardo_told_him/
Pretty much what I had suspected.
It's a shame he left, but I hope he ends up not regretting it.
The real reason behind the infamous "Multi-21?"
http://gptoday.com/full_story/view/6..._relationship/
If true, it definitely puts it in a different light.
Toro Rosso's bill for the season's crashes:
http://gptoday.com/full_story/view/6..._cars_in_2018/
Fascinating....I don't believe I've ever read this number being released by another team.
THANK YOU everyone for another great year on our F1 Thread!

THANK YOU everyone for another great year on our F1 Thread!
Also, we have long had the New Year's Eve tradition of being off the roads before sundown, just to stay away from the less that sober nuts out there.
Have a great New Year's celebration, including y'all in Europe (not sure if M. Marley is in France or not)!

Trying to have F1 be as close performance wise as Indycar without having all the spec rules/parts isn't realistic, IMO.

First problem for the new 2019 Honda engine revealed by the German AutoBild magazine website. Honda stopped using the expertise of AVL (Austria), engine experts, specialists in engine engineering and simulation (Ferrari used their consulting) following differences between the engineers of the two parties on the conduct of engine developments. Bild reveals that the engine is late in being operational and that it could not be used to its full potential. That's not very reassuring. I think Marko will have something to do rather than continue to invective Renault.
