Default Daytona HPDE Dec 1-3, 2017

With the cancellation of the Dec 8-10 event, here’s some links to info about the one a week earlier – Dec 1-3.

There will be an HPDE on the Daytona Int'l Speedway Rolex24 roadcourse Dec 1-3.

It’s co-organized by an Audi club from Ohio and Performance Driving Experience.

Here’s a link to the Audi club site with a little bit of info – there’s a link in there you can click on to download/view their registration form:

http://www.audiclubohiovalley.org/pr...ional-speedway

You can also see info and register online at:

https://www.motorsportreg.com/events...-valley-309907

You can also get the same info from the Performance Driving Experience site:

http://performancedrivingexperience.com

You can see on either site that it’s $600 for 1 day, $1000 for 2 days, or $1200 for all 3 days. So it’s more expensive than the other one was going to be.

I was planning on going to both the events, but I guess I'll have to do with just 3 great days of driving Daytona instead of 6!!!

You can register for 1, 2, or all 3 days.

But if you're coming to check in and get teched on Thurs Nov 30th to run on Friday, the Chief Instructor always gives a great track orientation the day before the track sessions begin on Friday. We drive around in vans with a good view and explanation of the line, and stop at a number of places around the track - such as the banking (wear sneakers if you plan to try to climb the 31° bank!!), several corners like the Bus Stop, and the start/finish line where you're still on an 18° banking when you cross the S/F line at 185 mph or so!!

Hope to c'ya at the track!!

Below is the 31° banking:

Below you can see even at the S/F line the banking is 18°:

Default

Only 3 weeks until we'll be running this excellent event!!

If you haven't registered yet, you've only got a few more days - registration closes on Nov 15th at 4:59AM EST, so you probably should register by the evening of the 14th!!!

BTW, if you can't make this one, there's a 2-day HPDE at Daytona on Thurs-Fri April 12-13, 2018. Here's a link with info:

https://clubregistration.net/events/...cfm/event/8649

You can see that registration is $795 through the end of Dec, then it goes up by $100 after the first of the year.

After the April event, there probably won't be another HPDE type track event until the three or so fall HPDE's starting in Oct, 2018.

Hope to c'ya at the track!!
