Default Rim sizes for Froggy's new c6z06 suggestions needed.

For this originals are 18x9.5 and 19x12.

I know prices go up for tires in the 19x20xetc. rim sizes

I know certain 18" rims DO fit on the rear, my ccw 18x12 for example.

So open to recommendations on a third set of rims.

Thanks all.

Not a huge fan of 20/21/22 with tiny sidewalls, I like some sidewall.

If you want to stay A-Street legal in SCCA, seems most go with the 18x9.5 in front, and 18x12 in rear. I run those sizes, in stock offsets. Forgestars would be my suggestion, for most bang/buck. Check with Stranoparts.com for deal. I would prefer to run a 18x11 wheel in front to get a wider tire, but class rules prevent that. If you are going CAM-S or other class, then options open up.

18x13 also fits, just barely.
18" rear tire selection is limited...
Rivals, NTO1s, Hoosiers, (Toyos?) in 335/30... they're kind of short.
Hoosier in 345/30 (and 345/35?).
Did I miss any?

18x11 front with a 315 and 18x13 rear with a 345. You need to choose a class first because that will direct your choices.

Not only will 18's fit in the rear but 17" CCW's do as well as long as the brakes are stock. If you're running a AS/SSR then wheel choice is clear. In SSP I'm running 18x13 on the front and rear. The rear clears with no issue and doesn't rub anything but the front rubs the inner fender area in several places.

Are you saying there are MORE choices in 19" on not?

I have an 18X10 rim front with 315 on that rubs now. So may need to drop to 305 or let it rub. 18x12 rear with a 335 is good.

I am running 18x12" with 335 Rival S tires on all 4 corners of my Grandsport. These can fit a lot more wheel and tire than most people recommend, all though it does destroy the brake cooling duct if you try and steer more than 3/4-1 turn. I have seen as large as a 335F/355R tires on these cars.

There sure are for street tires, haven't checked all the 19" track tires.
My Z came with a set of CCW 18x11 and 18x13. I would love to run them on the street, maybe with a 315/30f, 345/35r setup, but I think Hoosiers are the only option in that rear size.
Not wealthy enough (or silly enough!) to run those on the street...

Thanks, I'll contact if I need to. I'm figuring out my rim sizes for #3 set for this car (Street, autox, track)

What kind of front spring rates are you running? I rub with 315 x 18 on a 11 inch ccw.

Hypercoil HPT front spring and stock rear with Ohlins soft bump stops on both ends. I ran 315's on 18x12's on the front when I first got the car and there was no rub either on the inside or outside of the fender or the brake duct.

I had that HPT spring in the front of my car. With the height adjusting screws as short as possible my car was a inch higher than stock and would not weight transfer to the front. I think it was defective. Id really like to put 18x12 with 335 a7's on the front but without more front spring its not going to happen.

For Hoosiers, the 315 and the 335 are the same overall diameter. so there should not be an issue in terms of fender rub.

For Rival-s, the 335 is slightly larger diameter than the 315, but not by much. again, nothing that would cause fender rub by having "too little spring".
