Fords have an advantage...Corvette pitts with them, they won't even finish the race. Only way Corvette is pulling out wins this year is with pit strategy and luck because this was Fords year from day 1 of the season...theirs to lose.

as long as the corvettes are losing there's no need for them to change the bop.

To me, the difference between the Corvettes losing and the FORDS winning is that the FORD team is fighting like hell for position, same with the Porsche's. At Long Beach and again at Road America, there has been some serious pushing and shoving, trading of paint between the two teams, and the Corvettes just follow around, almost like they are afraid to engage for fear of getting their paint scratched.
People can surmise all they want about FORD having the inside track for any reasons they want, but the reality is the C7's aren't in the mix from the start. I think the team strategy this year plain sucks.

Yet they just podium'd 2nd and 3rd and they are running the oldest chassis in GTLM. I think you see what you want to see. GTLM is about marketing and manufacturers negotiations. Ford needs the win for their investment, IMSA wants their involvement, Ganassi has a sh*t ton of pull....it's Fords year...period. Best thing Corvette can do, is exactly what they're doing...race smart, make GM and Corvette look good, and just go for the ride because they won last year and Ford will win this year. End.
