So I just got my first set of NT01 tires mounted. They are all mounted with "outside" on the outside. But doing this results in tread pattern being opposite on left from right side......see pictures.
Is this correct?
Does it make any difference in drivability?
Should I rotate wheels each event?
lol they get better once the tread is worn down. Like right before they're corded they grip really well.
Drove home from the track during a downpour with NT01 slicks. Was thinking that I just spent a weekend at the track w/o issue and now I'm going to crash on my way home. Car would hydroplane / rotate at 30 mph. Ended up pulling off until the rain stopped. Worked ok in the rain when there was even just a tiny bit of tread.

Back in 08-10 I drove to track with Hoosiers. On the way home it was raining. Just drove slow behind a big rig which removed all water in from of me.

I was driving home from a track inspection in a down pour and couldn't go faster than 40. I felt like an old corvette guy with a Hawaiian shirt & jean shorts with the flashers on in the slow lane!

Same here. Got caught coming home in a downpour after the last track day on NT01's with 50% tread left. I had to slow down to 45-50 to get the back end to stop wiggling. It was really bad going up hills. I have a lot of experience with RComp's in rain, since I've been doing it now with both cars (2x ZO6's on R888's/NT01's).
If your inner or outer edges are wearing out due to camber, these tires may be switched on rims so that the outer directional graphics are on the inside. The tread becomes irrelevant with wear and the inner and outer sidewalls are the same construction.
I flip mine on the wheel every 4-6 track days. I can usually get minimum 8 track days on the fronts, and 10-12 on the rears before I have to replace them
