I have a 2005 C6 Corvette base model with an LS2. I upgraded my suspension to Aldan American coil overs for the C6 Corvette. My question is when I am under hard acceleration the car does not seem to be stable. What I mean is it’s almost as if the car feels like it’s a boat it gets very light on its tires and wants to sway from left to right but the car stays straight. It’s almost feels like there is air getting underneath the car and lifting it up a bit instead of forcing it down to squat and plant the tires on the ground it’s the oddest feeling. Is this a coil over adjustment issue or something else. Under low speed driving the car corners like it’s on rails.Any help is greatly appreciated
What alignment specs did you do after the coilover install? I had similar issue with a friends install and was to improper toe. Every time he accelerated hard, it felt “floaty” . He uses toe plates in rear and one side had all the toe while other has 0. When I went over, we did a string box and checked his alignment. This fixed his issue when we did a even toe in on rear.
Also could be so many other things but alignment would be the best guess with limited info. Did you do anything with sway bars?! Did you set ride height? Corner balance?
What spring rates did you install on front and rear? What settings are the front and rear shocks at?

I agree,Toe is the first thing to check. If you are doing a lot of hard accelerating (drag strip style) you might want to check the toe in that configuration (weight the rear, gently lift the front). Road Course acceleration doesn't generally warrant this as we are always in 2nd or higher, off the torque curve.
Thank you for the insight this gives me some ideas on what I can look into. After I installed the coil overs I never did get a alignment so this very well may be the issue. Thanks Again!
