Default C6 - solid steering rack bushing

Does everyone here run the solid bushing in their C5/C6? Or did you stick with the factory rubber? I don’t understand how it allows for any reduction in NVH since the other side is pinned in solid. Always thought it was a heat expansion measure for the rack. Thoughts?

Not sure, I put the Corvette bushing in my 4th gen Camaro and didn't notice a difference on track. I'm still gonna stick one in my C5Z.

When removing my rack for a cam swap I replaced with a solid rack bushing. Can't tell much of a difference but I bought $50 worth of piece of mind. Maybe if you were running monoballs and coilovers you could tell a diffrenece. No way would I remove the rack (and everything needed to get to the rack) to swap the bushing out unless it was worn out. Though at 80k the stock rubber looked fine, I don't think the rack gets near the same abuse as control arms, sway bars, etc.
