OK, so what was the issue with the #4 car that caused it to run so far off the pace for the entire race? As far as the last-minute incident with the #3 car, yes, it was beyond disappointing as the win was well within reach . . . but that's racing. They'll be back.
The #4 had power issues. They brought it in several times and seemed to be working on spark/ignition issues, but don't think they found the problem (or at least one they could easily fix), so spent the whole 12 hours down on power. It's months before they are racing again, so they'll get it sorted, I'm sure.

As far as the "Spoiler" issue goes . . . you do know that the race is over? Thanks for the response anyway - I was hoping for a bit more than "power issues" as an explanation, though. Guess we'll have to wait and see.
Some people record the race and watch it later. I used to do that so I could actually watch the entire race. However, if you don't want a spoiler stay away from threads on the topic. At least he didn't title the thread something like "Corvette crashes out in the last 10 minutes of race".

Yes...For any sporting event that I don't watch live, I stay off the internet, or at least off any related forums. I expect spoilers in related forums. My post commenting the OP should be spoiler in the title wasn't for me (I know better, and I watched the race live). It was because this forum gets down on people who don't. There is a Sebring thread in the C8 section where people posted a few updates in. Those updates were deleted by a moderator and the thread title was changed to include words that you shouldn't include spoilers. It is generally how this particular forum works, particularly so soon after a race. I tried to be helpful to the OP (because usually others will jump on those who include spoilers without warning) and others who hadn't yet watched it. And I got the snarky comment back, so I know (at least for this poster) to mind my own business.
I was there. The #4 clearly had some type of issue as you could plainly hear that is sounded different from the #3. The exhaust was popping/cracking and on power sounded like it was running on 7 cylinders most of the time. Clear missing and the car did not have the acceleration exiting the corners. It was off the pace during practice/qualifying as well so whatever the problem was the team couldn't fix it over multiple days.
