Default Identify this engine?

Sellers doesn’t know anything on it. No build sheet etc.

You mean the build of that particular engine or the manufacturer of the basic engine? Inspecting the head numbers will tell you the later possibly.

What do the stickers on the valve covers say? Looks like it has some nice pieces, but that rubber fuel line and cheap plastic fuel filter on the pressure side of the pump would scare me!

you might have better luck contacting the engine builder (looks like the name is on the valve covers) and giving them the serial number off the engine. If its anything of merit they'll likely have a record of building it. Its a small block chevy obviously.

I’ve got a request into seller for the name on valve covers and serial number to dry to dig up info. He said he was told to run 98 in it. I was surprised with it being a 450hp sbc. Not exactly some high strung sb2.2..unfortunately. I think I’d convert to e85 before I run 98 at the current prices

I would bet that's some form or another of the popular 604 crate engine. It's a spec engine used in a variety of late model stock cars. Wet sump, "fast burn" aluminum head, 4 bolt iron block 350.

yeah! A whole 6-7 psi going through that thing! The humanity!

You're right though, I'd rather not see it either.

Seller said he was told it’s 450hp. I’ve never heard of a sb2.2 tuned down that much. My 358 was 700hp and it definitely did not feel like 450hp

Not a SB2. The SB2 has an entirely different intake runner configuration.

It could have a restrictor plate and that would tune it down to about 450 hp just like the NASCAR Cup engines for Daytona and Talladega.
