push button start how to?
Is there a push button start how to for C5 racecar somewhere? I know to do the VATS resistor but what about the rest? I think something in ignition area needs to power up before the push button can trigger the starter.

Spec Corvette Racer Kevin Jones has a fantastic kit. I will email you his info as I don't think he has a website. He makes stuff that is better than package shelf product. You need to see it to appreciate it.

IMO first tune the vats and any other no essential system off in the pcm. Then the rest is simple use a stop light switch to power up starter push button switch. You also want to check rule book if applicable. Sanctioning bodies may have other safety requirements, intended to prevent accidental engine start particularly with no one in the car.

DYI way, bypass VATS and use a relay wired to a push button in the ignition circuit.
However you'll need to deal with KOEO situation. Last time I did a DYI method, I still needed the key for KOEO then hit the button to start the car.

Really helped clean up the dash and organize the car. I had an old “starter” backing plate from another car that I used his switches in and mounted to my dash .
