Might be worth looking into for the Vette's too

Are they a WRL team?

so how would you compare the c5 abs to the mk60? anything specific it does better? not having it programed would mean the e46 data is similar/compatible with the c5, right?

there is the scs/delta abs out there also. has anyone looked ito that?

I personally haven't driven a C5 on stock ABS, so I can't speak directly to it, but from what I hear, C5 ABS is pretty trash. It kinda works as an anti flat spot device, but it's not giving you as much braking performance as the C5 is capable of. It also goes into "ice mode" if you stab the brake pedal too hard and upset the ABS. Ice mode will basically give you a hard brake pedal and the car barely slows down, sending you off track. From what I understand, the cause of this is the brakes locking up faster than the ABS model anticipated for, so it assumes you hit a patch of ice and reduces maximum braking potential to something suitable for braking on ice.

The MK60 still can get ice mode, but it is very rare. I've heard a few cases of it, but not many. I've also heard braking potential going from 1G to 1.2Gs with no other changes to the car (same set of tires and everything), so it is pretty obviously more advanced than the stock C5 ABS.

All of the above also applies to 05-08 C6 ABS. I believe its a very similar system to what came in the C5s.

09-13 C6 was a little bit better. They switched to a Bosch system that doesn't get ice mode nearly as easily, and actually gives you decent braking abilities. My 2012 C6 has a MK60 in it now, and it's honestly about the same as the stock ABS. Maybe slightly better than stock, but not by a huge margin. The reason I switched was because my car no longer has a factory BCM/ECU, so the factory ABS doesn't work.

Yes, my test with both the factory MK60 and MK60 tuned to a C5/C6 proved that either the factory E46 settings are very compatible with the C5/C6, or tuning the units doesn't really do much.

I don't know of anyone that has used the SCS/Delta ABS. I personally would be a little wary of testing an ABS system that isn't proven, or didn't come in a factory car. The thing I would be worried about is it may work great for a while, but it's just not a robust enough design and fails prematurely. If you've learned to trust the ABS and it suddenly fails, you're going to have a much bigger crash than the ABS just never working amazingly in the first place.
