Default ABS (Again)

Ok, I had a topic on this a few weeks ago. Since then I raise my rear end 1/2" because my "rake" was dead flat and some suggested maybe the front wsn't loading quickly enough.

Anyway, this is still a problem and I'm thinking it is a component issue. I tried cleaning the contacts on the speed sensor. Is that the only piece that the ABS uses at the wheel?

It is definitely my front right wheel that kicks in and you can really feel it. At 35MPH I can half load the brakes and it kicks in.

Any thought? Bad Wheel Sensor? Isn't it in the hub and is 1 piece. Any other thoughs would be greatly appreciate. I had this problem with my stock brakes, but my Wilwoods seem to make it worse.

I'm going to LG tomorrow, so maybe I'll get Lou to ride in it and tell me what he thinks.

Well neither. it is a combination of too much rear pad and the DRM bias spring. Pulled the DRM spring and it is behaving much better. No ABS on a 75 to 10MPH hard stop.

So you were getting rear wheel lock up and the ABS was correcting for it. Just what it should do.

Why not just put the stock pads back on in the rear, and leave the bias spring in?

To answer CPT Z06 question. The reason I took out the spring vs. changing back to stock pads is three fold.

Taking out the spring took me 3 minutes and changing the pads would take longer

I already had the pads ($$$$)

The new pads will take the track heat better without fading than the stock pads, so it seemed like the smarter decision.

And to answer Bill, yes and thank you for your suggestion to pull the fuses. When I took out the fuses the rear end skated around and locked up. ABS was doing it's job.
