Default ? regarding lgm spindle ducts

Am I correct on how they work. They go on behind the brake rotor, and then you get hoses that connect right to them to deliver the cold air for cooling? Would they work with the new drm cooling hoses? thanks

Picked mine up today. They need a little modification like cutting the edge off like John has in his pictures and the centers need to be made a weeeee bit bigger to fit over the hub.

John, it is more correct that they go between the hub and the piece that goes between the upper and lower control arms (don't know the name).

So you have to take off the hub.

To that end. Anyone know an easy way to remove the lower control arm bolt.

Lout said just give the side 3 wacks with a ballpien hammer and it will loosen.

It will replace the braket that holds the ABS plug, The I put the clip on the spindle duct tube. They didn't cut the flat side to clear the rotor? I have a better idea. How about just extending the aluminum to act as a heat shields on the tie rod end and ball joint? I will pop rivet something there and post it. Joint should pop with a few side taps because of the taper. Make sure you retorque everything properly.

Look at my picture and notice I put the red (scat hose) inside the DRM supplied hose. You need make sure the red hose doesn't go in to far or it will block the air flow.

The spindle duct should be the same pattern as the ABS braket to fit with the hub and bolt pattern.
