Default rim selection.

for you fellas with 11 inch rims up front on a c4. i have a question. can i put some 11's up front on my car and drive it? i use the car for a daily driver. will it rub. clearance problems with anything? which offset to use? does it handle better or does it get all snappy and crap making it impossible to drive on the street? thanks for all the help guys.

I have four sets. Two 11 and 12 plus two 12 and 13. One set of 12 has 335.30.18 and doesn't rub lock to lock, but sticks past body. The tires do well considering their size, but alignment will dictate characteristics. I like all my sets. See my webpage for details.

hey zr1 mk. your car looks awesome. i dont think that the pics with the slicks show the tires sticking out too far. which offset are those front rims? i think it'd look good on mine. and those are 11's? id appreciate it if you could tell me how much offset i'll need to put 11's up front on mine. and does it trash your car while driving on the street with them out that far? i'm really wanting to get this done but have to keep the car driveable. ie. no hittint, rubbing, or slinging rocks onto my windshield. thanks so much and your car is so awesome!

The slicks are on 12" wheels front and 13" rear. Most people use the Grand Sport wheel front and rear with 315.35.17. Thats what I would recommend. My notes show the GS wheels at 7.97" back spacing. Check to be sure. Any larger than 11" will need exact measurements and can cause problem depending on the ride height and suspension set-up. You will need a stiffer suspension when going wider or the tires may interfere.
