steering rack - does anybody replace rubber with solid alloy
I know C4's are a bit old now with regards to racing but I when people raced them did they replace the rubber bushes that locate the rack with polyurethane or solid alloy?
The drivers side mount sems to do all the lateral location with the pasenger side one supplying only axial location ( apart from any gripping efect on the smooth rack tube).
Any info on modifying the mounts on a C4 ( and C5 if relevant ) would be greatly appreciated.
