Default Battery Placement in the Trunk?

Has anyone placed the battery of their C5/Z06 in the trunk of the car? I know a lot of drag racers do this, and the benefits would also translate to road racing providing better weight distribution.

If so:

1) How did you run the cables?
2) How did you mount the battery?
3) Does anyone sell a kit?

This seems like a fairly easy thing to do. Until you have to replace those things, you forget how damn heavy the are. It seems like a better place to put that thing would be right in the middle over the rear axle.

Thoughts/Comments?

Does anyone have pics of a completed install?

Mine is in the trunk, mounted in center well , offset to right side and sitting very low or as low as possible. Ran cables through interior, made hole through b-pillar area and ran cable up rocker panel. not so hard to do
