1966 Corvette 427 Coupe Barn Find
CE engine, Original 427/425 Big Block Car. CE 425/427 engine built to L88 specs, runs on pump gas, Hurst Shifter, M21 transmission, 1967 seats, 1967 back up lights, third tail light added.
Located in upstate NY. Original Nassau Blue [painted another factory Chevrolet lighter blue color, very decent paint and finish], black [standard on trim tag] vinyl interior. Factory tinted glass, Power brakes. Original nose; Small flared wheel wells front and rear [below the bonding strips and the fronts are not cut into the original inner surround] on original body, solid frame and birdcage. All gauges work but the RPM gauge [HEI dist]. Rear bumpers are good, I do not have the fronts.
This Corvette went on a long trip before it was carefully stored. It runs and drives and is ready to be a driver or put back to original again. This Corvette was always treated with care and before it was in my private collection; it was previously owned by an enthusiast; no winters or bad weather of any kind ever, I know all of the history on the car. Clear NYS title in hand.
$29900
Serious buyers only please.

Hello:
What kind of shape is the fiberglass in?
Is there any rust on this car?
Can you run this on pump gas at all?
What options does it have?
What kind of shape is the suspension in? (Bushings, Ball Joints, Shocks, Springs etc. etc.)
What modification have been done to the car other than the engine and the body flares?
What does NOT work on the car inside and out?
Does is have any leads anywhere?
What shape is the interior in?
Is it leather?
What Transmission?
Shape of Clutch?
Does the engine pull hard like it should or is it tired?
What options originally came on this car?
All the Gauges work?
Do you have the front bumpers and any other "Take Off" parts that go with it?
Did any animals get into or tear anything up on this car?
What aftermarket Parts are on this car?
What did you have to do to get it running?
How long ago was the engine rebuilt?
Is it a matching numbers car?
If not, what is not matching?
Do you have any history on this car?
Does the car have a clear title?
Is this car still in New York state?
If not, where is it located?
What town is this located?
Is this a dealer or the owner, or both?
Will it pass and inspection?
Does it have the stock brakes?
What Stock Parts for the car are missing completely?
If not, what's been done to them?
Are the three lights in the rear from the factory that way?
What paperwork do you have with it?
Please write me, I am interested.
You can send everything to this address if you want.

I know it seems excessive, but can you have enough information about spending $30,000 in this Economy?
I will always send a local inspector out also because another set of eyes never hurts.
I have never had a Vette (Though have always wanted a C2) but until now the price of them has usually been more than I was willing to spend. I have a business I have been nursing and growing for the last 17 years and before this, I was always taking the cash and reinvesting it so someday I could own one and not have to live in it.
Amazingly enough there are several on the market that are really nice looking for the money, and like everything else, I am gathering information so I can buy what's best for my situation.
So far there are 4 I am seriously looking at, and I will buy least one maybe two. (3 Coupes and 1 Convertible) At this point in time I think there are many bad places to put money, but while having fun, and realizing a long desire to own one, this seems like a decent time to make the purchase, and possibly retain the bulk of the money I've put into it in the long run.
I might be wrong, but despite how it may look, I'm trying to be smart with the purchase and not let my desire over rule my judgement. (I know that's a Boring way to look at it)
Were it up to me (In my mind "Emotionally) Several C2's, a Pantara, a GT 40, 69 Camaro, 69 Mach 1 Mustang etc. etc. would be just several of the "Toys" I would love to play with.
Don't know where I would live, but that spoils the dream.
I hope this makes better sense now, and at the very least there is more information available to help the seller find a buyer.
Your thoughts?

Unfortunately there are alot of " DREAMERS " out there and with the economy flopping the way it has serious buyers are very cautious.
It states the car was part of a collection... Where does the barn find come into play ? Is everything a BARN FIND ? Maybe this applies to unattached garages.... then I understand.
Fender flares, six tail lights.... It wouldn't fit in my " Barn " For what the market is if one does the work it would be a solid driver.
Now, the guy with the extra cash, please step forward so we can save this one from going back in the barn.
