1967 427/390 convertible project
1967 Corvette 427 Roadster, original engine, 4 speed trans, power windows, Goodwood Green with Saddle leather interior. Built in Canada and have the Canadian build sheet from the factory. The car has body damage where a pickup backed into it and crunched the nose. Headlight buckets appear to be fine, the surround and parking light panel appear to have all the damage. The car is clean and very nice except for the nose job. Estimates ran from $8,000 to 11,500 to repair. I do have an original GM black glass surround, GM parking light panels (not Black). Interior is very good and the engine compartment is nice. It is a soft top only car. It has a replacement Holley carb, but I have an original date coded carb that needs rebuilding and coloring. $35,000, 301-854-3540

He probably means it was a Canadian export in which he obtained GM of Canada docs? Please send info and pictures to Golferdas@aol.com.

I'm in Maryland.
At the moment the car is in the far corner of a 42x40 garage. I plan to move the stuff Friday and get the car out for some pictures. I change the battery and pored a little gas down the carb and she started right up.
A message to the sarcastic ones, I guess I'm not the expert you are, but I've never been a tire kicker either. See if you were truely interested in this car and not a tire kicker, you would not try to rub my nose in my misunderstanding. I now have little interest in talking or selling this car to you.

As I said in my previous post, it sounds like a great project car. Good luck with the sale.

Taking it way to seriously bkeese.....just poking fun....and look what you learned. Heck, I may have even learned that GM Canada produced docs for these cars. I'm no expert. I think we all learn something new everyday about thses cars.

To all interested parties,
I wanted to share with the CF an experience that my brother had with the seller (Bob) of this Corvette. After a two day correspondence with the Bob, it seems that his word is not credible. After waiting over a day for pictures and being told that the Corvette is obtainable for between $30,000 - $35,000, my brother offered Bob his full list price of $35,000 and offered to stop what he was doing this afternoon and drive from New York to Maryland to inspect the car and finish the transaction. Bob told him not to do that, and while he did not explain why he clearly was fishing for more money. At a point in the conversation my brother was put on hold and when Bob returned to the phone he explained that the person who called on the other line offered him $40,000 for the car and he took it.
I do not know about the rest of the members of this forum, but the last time I sold a car I listed the price I actually wanted to get for it. I did not raise it $5,000 without telling an extremely interested party. My brother did not even have the opportunity to increase his offer as the car was already sold without him knowing (and yes this all happened while he was on the phone).
I am not perfect, nor is anyone else but Bob was extremely inconsiderate and unprofessional in this matter. He wasted my brother’s time and I’m sure a lot more people as he changed his list price. And as pathetic as it sounds he hung up on my brother when all he asked was to explain why he was treated differently than the gentleman who purchased the car.
To Bob – I hope you learn from this experience and DO NOT waste other people time by fishing for a price. A man is only as good as his word.
To the new owner – Good luck with your New Corvette.
To the CF – Sorry for my rant but I had to post this.
