1961 Corvette - ORIGINAL - $35,000
I have for sale what could best be described as a time capsule. If it weren’t for a previous repaint, I would be more inclined to call it a “Survivor”. It is a numbers matching, all-original 1961 Corvette with the following options:
CQ Block (283/230hp)
4-Speed Warner
Wonderbar
Hardtop
Below is a list of the Serial/Manufacture numbers for the car:
VIN: 10867S103936 (December, 1960 Build Date)
Engine ID: F1207CQ (Built in Flint on December 7th, 1960)
Block Stamp: 103936 (Original Motor)
Carburetor: Carter WCFB, MFG: 3059S Chev.#: 3779178 (Original)
Intake: 3746829 (Original)
Expansion Tank: Harrison #: 3151016 (Original) Dated 60M (December, 1960)
Generator: Delco-Remy #: 1102043 (Original)
Exhaust Manifolds: LH#: 3750555 (Original) RH#: (Space is too tight to be able to read the numbers, but looks original as well)
Transmission: WG DIV (warner 4-Speed) T10-1C (December 10th) – Original
Thermostat Housing: 3111268 (Original)
Glass on Hardtop – All 3 Pieces: AS-4 861 (Original)
Rear end hang tag is illegible. Ratio is 3.70:1 and is stamped 725899 (Original)
I bought this car with the intentions of building a Resto-Mod style C1 and the 1961 Is my Favorite year as it was the last year with painted Coves and whitewalls and the first year for the iconic rear end. Simply put, this car is too rare to butcher into a modded car. It truly is a Time Capsule.
Below is the current condition of the car:
The Car is in complete driving condition. The motor runs perfectly. No smoke and starts/runs easily. Good pressure, good compression and good power. The Brakes are currently being serviced and the fluids are currently being changed.
This car could be left As-Is and driven or turned into a full restoration or driven as it is slowly restored.
The Paint is true “10 Foot” paint. It has age crackling and the clearcoat has bubbling. It looks like “Barn-Find” paint.
The Chrome is really fine. No loss of chrome and ZERO dents. The only exception is the front license plate, it looks like it was not on the car and stored on the ground as the bottom bar has corrosion. It is just the removeable front plate holder that has this issue, EVERYTHING else looks great.
Weatherstripping looks original. It is cracked and brittle.
Interior looks fantastic. Seats have zero tears or rips and carpet is exceptional. Dash is faded from the sun but could be redyed to like new condition. Wonderbar is original and it looks like it has never been touched.
All 5 whitewalls are matching and there are 4 correct hubcaps.
Frame in front is in pristine condition, however past the X-brace towards the rear there is surface rust on the frame. It has been untouched and there are no issues with Integrity. The very rear crossbar has more rust but is solid. It can be unbolted from the frame if the new owner wanted to replace it without removing the body as it is riveted and bolted on. It is all original.
Hardtop glass is all original and like date-coded. The headliner is also in good condition.
All gauges (except for the clock) work to varying degrees (Range of motion may not be 100% on all)
Overall this is car that can be Driven or Fully restored or anywhere in between – all the while having an Original 1961 with correct EVERYTHING.
I’ll post some pictures here and if you are interested, feel free to email me at:
jasondcunningham@hotmail.com or PM me here with your information.
The car is in Oklahoma, and the car has a clear title. I have a driver with a single car trailer that can deliver this car anywhere in the continental US for less than other carriers and can have the car to you within a week of payment.
Price is: $36,500.
This is only being listed here for now. Next week I will be going National with it.

This is a nice looking 61 Corvette. Had I not just bought another Corvette tonight I would buy this from you. This looks to be a very fair price. Someone will do well with this car. Good luck it should not last long.

Already had a couple questions:
It also has it's full softtop (White) it's in driver condition.
The fiberglass looks all original and there is NO repair work on the body.
I can take any pictures that are needed, I just posted a few to give an idea of what this car is. If you email me I can send whatever you need and if you'd like to talk live, then I will email you my number and would be happy to visit.
This is a no story, no excuse original that I am simply posting here first. I posted pictures of it in it's current state ( dust and all, I have NOT tried to 'clean it up' or hide anything) I priced it VERY aggressively as I am wanting a C1 that I can modify.

Just spent the day with this Vette...put over 50 miles on it, all through stop and go traffic. Odometer is working, so this very well could be original miles.
This car starts, idles, drives and accelerates perfectly. No smoke and it's not leaking any fluids (not a single drop overnight). Original generator is sending plenty of power, tach is tracking well as is the speedometer. It brakes perfectly now (I just did a full brake job)
This motor is unbelievably quiet and starts with a bump of the starter.
This is a true driver and could be taken anywhere...
Next week I will be detailing it amd taking much better pictures for National exposure.
Until then, the price is dropping to a NO NONSENSE $35,000

There have been 3 other cash offers that were lower: $26,000 $28,500 and $30,000 (with a split in transport fees)
I also had 3 trade offers, one of which was worth more than my asking price but not of interest.
I think that with time the car could do $38,000 - $40,000
I was hoping to get $34,000 - $36,000
Ebay gets good exposure and might get me those numbers the quickest. I tried here first even though it is much less exposure in case I could sell it quickly even though it would be for a little less.

Thank you for sharing those offers. I would have expected someone here on the Forum to buy your car. Good luck with your sale and please keep us posted. I also own a 61 in similiar condition to yours and would not have accepted those offers either.
