1966 Corvette 427/425hp roadster - low mileage
1966 Corvette - numbers matching and original to the car 427/425 hp convertible. This car is a low mileage, well kept, and has documented ownership information.
Currently the odometer is showing 59k miles and is documented to be original through state inspections that date back to 1973. Included in the sale is original documentation that includes the original dealership sales invoice & deposit, and $100 deposit the original owner paid in late 1965. Also there is a NCRS Shipping Data Report that shows the correct production build date 12/28/1965 from the Corvette factory, as well as the correct dealer it was delivered which matches the sales invoice and original deposit receipt mentioned above.
This car is basically a one motor rebuild original Corvette, with a repaint and soft top. The interior is in great original condition, and most of the original chassis is still in tact and never been apart. You'll notice some original markings in the pictures as well as the original coil spring tags on the front. Most of the chassis has signs of never being wrenched on, and very well taken care of. It runs, shifts, and drives smooth, and brakes just as smooth. The exhaust has a really nice rumble and tone to it too. You'll also notice the original key set that still has the knock outs in tact and never removed (see picture).
This is an original 986 Silver Pearl paint and a 426 silver vinyl interior trim code convertible. The interior is the original interior on the car and has been very well kept over the years. There are a couple small blemishes on the original door panels and the original carpet does show some fading. For its age though, it is in really great shape overall.
This car has had a recent motor rebuild by a very reputable engine builder that took the necessary precaution to protect the engine stamp pad and original numbers. The exterior has had a repaint and shows really nice. The soft top is a brand new Al Knoch correct reproduction soft top that has the correct date code for the build date of the car.
Included in the sale of the car is the original documentation that I currently have (see the picture), as well as just about every part that has come off the car over the years. Some of those parts include the original steel wheels and hub caps (the knock off wheels on the car now are the real knock off style that were produced in the 80's and 90's), various engine components that have been removed over the years, the original power antennae that came on the car, and the original bumpers that were on the car. These parts over the years have been thoughtfully saved and will accompany the car to the new owner.
Price is being lowered to $92,500 and will listen to any interesting and serious offers.
I have a clear NC title in my name and it will be properly transferred over to the new owner upon completion of the sale.
If you have any questions, please send me a message and we can go from there.

My boss had a '66 roadster 425 hp, 4.11, black/saddle, pipes. I had a silver pearl poly roadster, 390 hp, added the pipes. I wish.....!!! Yes to the lottery. Amazing docs. GLWTS

Very nice L72 conv.
Was the engine rebuilt to factory spec? Solid lifters etc?
Is the TI amp in place and working?
How is the body? Fender lips?
Beautiful underside. Doesn't get much better for original.
Really neat car.

Yeah rebuild was correctly done. Yes TI still in tact too.
Body and quarters are great and appeears to be no hit and no cracks.
Yeah the original chassis is really impressive. Car was driven but well cared for. I even have the original clutch that came out of the car when the motor was rebuilt less than a thousand miles ago.

I had one exactly like yours in 1969. I always thought the silver interior was very unusual and have only seen two or three cars with the silver/silver combination. In 1969 I paid $3,200 for that car with two tops, 14K, full docs with Protectro-plate. Brings back memories. GLWS

Honestly this is the first 425hp silver/silver I've seen in person, but know there's more of them out there. It's a really great color combo and something you don't see much of.
