Default WTB: '67 Sting Ray - Big Block - Coupe

Ideally, I would like to buy from someone that belongs to this forum. Must have iron clad documentation. Must have at the very least the the original motor. Judging provenance is a plus.

Car must be sorted out with no issues. I'm just too darned old, and tired to take on a project.

This one is at a dealer -- but might be worth calling and asking about it.

Thanks 3Mar67, but I have never bought from a dealer. In my state the tax on a private purchase (for a car 25 yrs. or older) over $30,000 is a flat $1,500. If I buy from a dealer it is 7% of the purchase price. Ouch!

How did I know you were from IL without looking at your profile...?

When you say "hardtop," to be clear, you mean a convertible with an optional hard top?

I meant coupe. Thanks for pointing that out my friend. How can I change the subject line to reflect coupe and not hardtop?

I'll fix it.

I thought there might be some confusion there.

Default 67 390

Steve , The finest midyear I have ever worked on and driven is for sale on Seatle Craigslist. Its a Maroon 67 390. A friend of mine used to own it and it was in my custody for about a year while he was recovering from surgery. I drove it more than he did. PM me with your email if you would like more info. I wish I could buy it myself as I would be done.

Where have all of the '67 Sing Ray coupes gone to? I think this is the safest place to buy one, but it seems no one wants to give their's up...

Default 427

THE best midyear I have ever seen or driven is now on ebay. Its the maroon 390 coupe I mentioned. Orig motor, all original fiberglass, laquer paint. VIN 03074. Buy it now is 105K. My friend owned this car 4-5 year ago and I did a full service on it. Left headlight bucket paint does not really match as its urethane, long story, easy fix. I don't know who owns it now, but its a GREAT car.
