hello guys/gals, i am new to the vett world and am in the market for one of the following, serious buyer with cash, looking for private seller, not a dealership car. i am not looking for a concourse or historical car, not a trailer queen or show car. prefer it to be 100% number matching. must have excellent body and paint. must be a manual. must be reliable, i am not a mechanic, i want something i can get in and drive anywhere. open to all color combos as long as they are original to the car. please if you have something for sale let me know a "real/legit" price and not something inflated, I'm not one to haggle on price but i also know what they sell for, thanks

1) 63 split window
2) 65 BB car or 327 -365/375hp car, coupe or convertible
3) 66 BB car or 327-350hp car, coupe or convertible

You should add the 64' L76 (365hp) to your list. They are pretty sweet.

No rust or repairs, no surface rust
Excellent Body
One repaint, door surrounds still original.

a lot of nice cars out there. please when you send info on your car send a couple pics and definitely send a real price to buy it. i looked at a very nice 63 swc yesterday that i can buy for 92500, ncrs winner and a fresh resto 2 years ago. looked at a 427/390hp coupe as well, again very nice, $98k. some of the numbers i am getting are a lot higher than these and these are very nice cars. again just to remind you i am not looking for concourse historic cars, i am looking for a very nice car i can drive some and is all numbers matching and very nice

thanks again

Be very careful. You say you want a "numbers matching" car to drive. This can mean two things - an original engine car or a restamp. Restamped engines might be fine for a driver, but if you are paying for an original engine car - you should have someone look at the stamp pad to confirm that the car is an original engine car. The price differentials for the two can be significant - and for 67 big blocks can be very substantial.

i am very close to pulling the trigger on a 66 black couple, 4 speed with a 427/390hp engine.

i am expanding my search to non number matching cars, etc as long as they are very nice. must have excellent body and paint. must be a manual. must be reliable, i am not a mechanic, i want something i can get in and drive anywhere.

If you can live with original but not excellent paint, I have a survivor '66 L36 convertible. It is a no hit car with original paint. The lines are incredible. It earned a Bloomington Gold - Gold Survivor Award in 2016 and was invited to the Corvette Legends Display at MCACN last fall. If interested email ratnests@yahoo.com
