Mecum Kissimmee C2 - Looking for Knowledgeable Inspection
I am interested in a C2 that will be in the January 2018 Mecum auction in Kissimmee, Florida. It so happens that I will be in the area then and I plan on attending the auction. I would prefer to hire someone who is knowledgeable of these cars rather than a generic inspection company. I am interested in a particular modified C2, therefore I am not concerned about originality or matching numbers. What I am interested in is the condition of the car, the quality of the workmanship, drivability, as well as the value of the car. Is there anybody that will be at Kissimmee or who is in the area that can help me out on this?
Also, I have never been to an auction before. Tips will be appreciated!

I will be there, but I don’t think I’d be much help on a restomod. I can check with some people and see if I can make a referral though.

Not looking at a "Restomod" per se. The car looks very stock except for a hopped up big block and a Keisler 5 speed transmission.

2018 C2 of Year Winner
Testosterone is a powerful thing and we as a species HATE losing!!! Set a price, include all expenses in that price and stick to it!!!
Once the bidding starts, I have seen a lot of guys pay more than they initially figured they would. There are plenty more cars out there!!!

I see that Pro Team has a total of 10 C2's in that auction. They bought my '67 Pro Street roadster at a Detroit area auction back in 1996. Wish I still had that one! Pro Team is mid way between me (Detroit area) and my good friend in the Indianapolis area. I have been to Pro Team several times. I would post a picture of my '67 but I tried to do that on a previous profile and the forum flagged it as "spam" and I got banned for life so I had to start a new profile and I am gun shy now about posting pictures.

Good place to kick tires, not a good place for the inexperienced buyer. Good move to seek help.

There's a Chinese buffet about halfway between Mecum Kissimmee and the Lakeland NCRS meet in Davenport that I looooove.
Hey, all the info you can get is helpful.

I've been driving for Mecum Kissimmee for 9 years. I can't emphasize enough the importance of doing your research BEFORE the car goes across the auction block. I've seen way too many times emotion get in the way of prudent buying decisions.
