57 Aztec Copper 283/245 Beautiful Driver
For sale is a an older restored 1957 Aztec Copper Corvette It is a California car with just minimal surface rust. It is an older restoration about 25 years ago. It has 78K miles original miles. The engine is a date code correct 283ci, 245 HP. The engine was decked when restored before I purchased it so no engine pad #. I have owed it for the past 18 years and it has been a blast to drive, but now I need to let it go to make room in my garage.
It has the following options:
- heater
- Wonderbar AM radio
- parking brake light
- courtesy lights
- windshield washer
- auxiliary hardtop
- 283ci, 245 HP engine
- power operated folding top (needs to be restored to functional)
- 9 fin valve covers
- California YOM 1957 plates (black on yellow)
- E57S101825
The chrome/stainless is good, but some parts are worn or pitted. New front grill
New radial tires for smooth cruising.
Paint is very nice except for a few dings
Interior is good but shows age.
This car shows how classy a Corvette can be.
Priced at $69,000 for a nice original car. Serious buyers only. Sorry, no trades.
The R front fender had a repaired crack. Can you see it?
Original 9 fin valve covers
Paint still shows well.

Very nice. I really like the contrasting color of the hardtop. I would have assumed it to be copper. I really like the beige. The Aztec cars are really interesting to look at.
You have it priced right, imho. I was looking at one which almost identical to this one in Illinois. I think it went for around $75K. Both cars have very similar histories.

Nice car. Is it still in California? I am in Texas now after 50 years in California. I am driving back at month end for Easter Holiday. Maybe I can look at it on the way.
Thank you,
JIM

Block number
UPDATE:
All this time I thought the block was decked, but with a tip from a photo (from a forum member), I discovered this is a numbers matching block. It was hidden behind the fuel line.
