Default 63 Convertible

Hey Gang,

I'm looking for a decent driver quality 63 Convertible. I'd prefer Daytona Blue but any color combo is fine. Only other criteria is a 4spd. Doesn't need to be a numbers car either, just everything working and in OK shape. Mid to upper 30s would be my limit and I’m ready to buy ASAP.

Sold my Silver Blue 64 vert and really miss it. Actually, I think my wife misses it more! :-)

Let me know what you have. Thanks!

Cheers
Dave

Hey Dave, I'm up in the Dallas area, wife and I are in the process of downsizing, house with property amd shop is now listed. Already bought and partially moved into the other house closer to downtown. That said, I'm giving up full blown shop on the property and a lot of space!. Some time in the near future I'm going sell our 63 and my 64 F-85 Rotisserie resto-mod street machine. We are the 2nd owners of the Corvette, bought back in the late 60's out of Oklahoma City. You may call it a garage find or whatever. Did a body on resto back in 85 and only put maybe 3K miles on it.Body has never been off the frame, rear end has never been taken apart, 43K miles, M20 has never been taken apart. Anyway when the time comes I'm at 40K which is in your ballpark. When I decide to sell this is very reasonable for this car. Lots more detail available. Car has never seen rain or weather since rebuild and been indoors. As you know it well sell fast , there is only one of these with this serial number. I believe with fresh paint and some body work, car is be a reliable ride even the am/fm radio works as does the clock. Anyway I thought I

would email you....

Hi Rob, very cool! Funny you guys are doing what you’re doing since we just finished our house build, two shops, and a barn on 10 acres just south of Glen Rose!

When end the time comes, contact me directly. I’ll come up and see it in person since you’re not too far away.

Also have a lot of the chrome ignition shielding, thumb nail master, and have the original exhaust manifolds in excellent condition and this stuff is put away. Installed a new wiring harness in the 90's. Few years ago, the expansion tank started to leak and so did the water pump. I changed all that out, plus new hoses. The only thing missing is the spare tire carrier. My wife said she cannot remember what happened to it around 1974 when the oil embargo was on...

I'll consider other years too. Might as well increase the odds!

Well, after refiguring my budget, and a new house needing new house things, I'll pull my search for now. I'll be back in the market in the Fall. Thanks for the replies, guys! Hurry up Fall!

Cheers
Dave
