Safety Car
I can attest to the scam part. Wanted 50% down payment WIRED (first red flag) and I said I would bring cash and come pick up the car.
He immediately said he has another buyer he will sell to. Hmmmmmmm what did I say??
Oh it's for his dad's medical bills and he said I sounded like an HONEST GUY.........gee........does he even know what honesty is?
Stay away..........

Scam
That car was sold over 9 years ago. Charlie Lyons in Alabama (dealer) sold it to a exporter in California and the was exported. Those pictures posted are in front of his shop and we’re posted on barnfinds.com.
There is a man and women that repeatedly post the car on Craigslist with a sob story about there sick father…. The feds are after them as they have stole thousand of dollars. There also recently posting a 1966 mosport green coupe with the same scam.
BEWARE !!!

It's been all over craigslist multiple times and you were able to talk to him on the phone?
If the feds are actively trying to apprehend these scammers and they have a phone number and by chance it's a cell phone why can't they use GPS to locate them to make the arrest?

As stated above this one has been around for almost a decade. If I recall correctly, someone on this form lost their deposit on this exact car. I remember when it had a low scammer price of only $9,000. Scammer inflation ...

Yep, here it is again. Listed 4 days ago in little ol' Richmond, IN. Now the car is supposedly "located" in West Palm Beach, FL. Yeah, sure it is... Oh, and did anyone happen to notice the Alabama tag on the trailer? And you can bet that he'll find fool willing to part with hismoney. There's always some gullible sucker out there willing to believe something that's too good to be true, IS TRUE.

Check out this post from a C2 Facebook page:

In this thread alone one guy admits to losing $14,500, another lost $14,000, another lost $12,000. I don't know if I should feel sorry for these gullible rubes. Thinking that they're getting a steal of a deal buy throwing money at it without doing any simple and practical research.
