Assembly Sequence question
My car is a '66. On the driver's side of the hood surround about midway between the firewall and the inner fender, there is a wiring harness support clip. Was this clip riveted on before or after the car was painted; i.e., should the rivet head be painted body color or left natural?

they should be roiset rivet, there should be two of them one on each side. thare are painted body color

The hole for my "3788712 clip-special" was drilled down into the hood surround not into the side as it should have been. Is this rare? Does this make my car more valuable? Where can I buy a "9424862 rivet"?
