soft top replacement
I would like to replace my soft top on my 1964 roadster , which company to purchase top from ? car is a driver not show car would like a good quality top supplier ? what other parts to buy ? I called a few shops today that do converts they want to use their supplier . Should I buy a top from corvette supplier or does it matter? quoted between 725 & 950 for top & installed . I would like to find a shop that maybe forum member could recommend in Seattle ,Wash . Dave

A top and pads only cost about $200. Buy a kit and install it yourself. It isn't that hard.

I replaced the top on my '64 a few years ago. Having a helper makes things go easier, and I'd recommend you buy an Al Knoch top and get his installation video. I rented the tape from Corvette Central, watched it several times, then put the TV in the garage and went step by step. We had the job done in a weekend (we are slow).
