Thanks for the opinions everyone. Black is what I wanted to here...looks like its going to stay black. As Dave said I value everyones opinion here (even his).
RLH I have a friend who works for a body shop in town here...he has been doing body work and paint all his life and has painted acouple of cars for me in the past. He is also a car guy mostly mopars but he does have a c-2 drag car. He said he would get it right. He is going to prime block sand and paint Im doing the rest...strip,minor repares,color sand and buff, take apart,put back together. We havnt settled on a final price yet, but it will be reasonable scince Im doing the hard stuff. I will let you know.

I was not in love with trophy blue until I experienced the public's reaction to it, and it grew on me. Somewhere I saw saw production figures for colors in '66. Back then, I think the only color less popular than trophy blue was black.
