what block date code would be correct?

Default what block date code would be correct?

anybody know the acceptable date range for a block to be considered correct? my 65 was built in Jan of 1965, so im wondering how far back would be possible to be correct? thx

Generally speaking, the NCRS recognizes up to 6 months prior to build date of the car as "acceptable". In reality, it seems the norm is probably closer to 1-3 weeks prior to the build date.

the original block in my jan- 1957 corvette was made oct- 56

agree, they were dropping them in still warm from the oven in 65, my April 6 birthday 65 with a 0329 pad date has a C175 cast date
