Default steeroids in a c2?

Have a manual setup and want to go to power. Was considering the steeeroids setup. Is it worth doing? Really don't like the manual feel and the play in the wheel. Also I have some up and down play in the wheel. Is that a bad column bearing? Is it just a lower bearing that need replacement? I plan on driving this car quite a bit. A lot of questions so thanks in advance.

If you have radial play in the wheel, that's the upper bearing (part of the turn signal switch); the lower bearing (at the bottom of the column) also tends to turn to dust over time. The factory power steering system works just fine.

John, how big of a pain is it to change that upper bearing? Should I just do both? Thanks Glenn

It's not hard to replace the upper bearing. It's just a pain to take off the steering wheel and there are a lot of small peices making up the horn contact, etc... just use the assembly manual and dig in.

god luck!
