Dealer emblems
Does anyone still have one on their car? I can't remember the last time I saw one. Does anyone know the NCRS position on them? While the cars didn't come from the factory with one, about the only way you could avoid getting one was to order your car {not buy it off the lot} and ask the dealer not to put one on. My emblem had been centered above the license plate. What about your car?
my 1963 Z06 has the dealer emblem on it - when the dealer installed it he drilled holes for the studs and put speed nuts on! NCRS did not deduct, nor did Bloomington
Took mine off when I redid my car, it says "Kizzier" and "Kearney". Plan to do a post on the car sometime in the near future & see if I can find any history.
PS Pretty sure from the emblem that the car was sold by Kizzier Chevrolet (now out of business) in Kearney, Nebraska.

I wish I could find some that are for sale. when I was at Carslie a couple of years ago and seen a 65 Chevelle with a dealer emblem from a chevy dealer 5 miles from where I live. I almost bought that car. that was the time I was looking for a 64-70 chevelle.
The NCRS judging standard calls for the car to be presented as it was delivered by the dealer, including "normal dealer preparation"; a dealer emblem or decal is considered part of "normal dealer preparation", and should not result in a deduction. Anything else ADDED by the dealer (like accessory items such as luggage racks which were not factory options) will result in a deduction; not for the added item, but for the holes in the body panels required for its installation.
