Default Help with date code

Hello,

I'm trying to order some replacement items from Corvette Central...for my 64. On some of the items they ask for a date code (1DM14 is an example). My VIN is 40867S115083. How do I find out what the correct date code should be?

Thanks again,
Dave

The birthday calculator estimates your car's B-Day as April 7, 1964.

Thanks Denney.

Now how do I convert that into a date code? I'm assuming the last number is the year.

For example - on an outside LH mirror - I have a choice of...
1DMI4
3DMI4
5DMI4
7DMI4
9DMI4
11DMI4

BTW - Is the 4/7/64 build date considered to be "early 64"? I see some items listed as "late 63/early 64"

DMI is "Donnelly Mirror Inc", the manufacturer. 1 is January, 3 is March, and so on. Either would be good for an April car. Chuck

Presumably you will want either the "1" or the "3" mirror. The DMI stands for Donnelly Mirror, Inc. and the "4" stands for the year of manufacture.
