Default McLeod clutch question.

I am looking at ordering a clutch for my 67 427 from McLeod. What is the difference between the diaghragm style and the borg & beck?

Thanks,
Rob

Here is a link to an info-type page..

http://www.novak-adapt.com/knowledge/clutches_etc.htm

NOTE: this is a jeep article, but it does have nice explanation of the chutch system.

Hope this helps,
Chuck

The Borg & Beck 3-finger clutches are "old-tech", popular with some drag racers, have high pedal pressure, and were abandoned by GM in 1962 in favor of the diaphragm type.

I have a McLeod diapraghm clutch behind my 427 and it is smooth and pedal effort seems relatively low. Good choice.
