I have this system on my car with [non factory style] side pipes. It works just fine. I got the idea from seeing a '64 with a bb I saw many years ago. Take it to a GOOD muffler shop they should be able to build the system without too much prob. If you want you can mount the side pipes to the car bfore you go to the muff shop.
My system is not a Corvette side pipe system but it all works out the same. I've run 2.25" pipe with straight thru bottle mufflers under vintage "Thrush" covers. I like it. I have to jack my car up in the next day or so for service, I can take a pic then and email it to you if you would like. It's all pretty straight foreword.
Can you either post them here or e-mail to me?

After you click "MY GALLERY", look on the right side for "UPLOAD PHOTOS".
In "UPLOAD PHOTOS", Select your "CATEGORY" (for example: "Corvette Pictures->C2 Corvette Pictures ->C2 Parts and Mechanicals Gallery") then you can click "BROWSE" and find the photos on your own computer.
(make sure to resize them to no more than 640x480 first).
After you have selected your pictures to upload, click the button "UPLOAD/SUBMIT". This will place the pictures into your gallery.
Then you will get a message that your pictures have been submitted for approval. After a while you will get an email stating that your pictures were approved.
After approval, go back to "MY GALLERY" and see your pictures there.
Now members can click the "MY CORVETTE PHOTOS" under your name or you can post the picture in your message.
To put the picture in your message, right click on the expanded picture and select "PROPERTIES". You will see an "HTTP" address. Highlight this address and right-click/COPY the address.
Then in your posting, put "" in the message where you want the picture to show up.
It sounds very complicated but if you do it one time you will see it's really very easy.
Thanks, SS63
