Default Remote Control Battery

A few years ago, Sears or mayby Interstate Battery, offered a battery that had a built in switch to limit cranking power controlled by a remote keyfob. Outside it looked like any other sealed battery. They were targetted to street rodders.

Both Sears and Interstate no longer have this battery. Does anyone know of any other company currently offering it? or maybe a dealer that still has old inventory of one?

Sears issued a recall of these batteries. Too many failures, I guess. Personally,I liked the features in these batteries and didn't return mine. Its four years old and still works great.

I didn't return mine either for the same reasons. Big mistake! The electronics in the battery failed while I was on the road. Complete electrical system shutdown without warning. Had to replace the battery to get the car started.
