Cast Iron Exhaust Manifold Coating
Has anyone had their cast iron manifolds coated with the Jet Hot coating ? I am considering having this done but wanted to see if anyone has any feedback (good or bad). How is it holding up ?
Pics would be great !!

I had Jet Hot coat my manifiolds a couple years ago. They have a dark grey color that is close to the original color, but not exact. They have held up perfectly. The engine paint around the two center cylinders on each side nave discollored a bit, but not the manifolds.
I'll post a pix if you like!

I used the grey jet hot coating for the set I will use for driving. The color was too light so I shot some 1200 degree dark gray manifold paint over them and I'm very happy.
The ceramic coating is supposed to keep the external temp of the manifold down around 500 degrees, so I expect the paint to hold up pretty good.
NCRS judges will know if you do anything to them, so if you are going to have the car judged, get another set or wait until after he big event to have them done.
good luck,

too early to tell.
Had my manifolds ceramic coated a month ago . cost $200 at ashop in Langley BC "Cool Coat" they look good and are supposed to reduce temperatures .. though i have never put a thermometer on them to check.. alll the guys running fuelies etc at local drag strip are in their having their headers done .. so it must be worth doing .. we'll know for sure in 3-4 years..
