No way is a pile of steel, cast iron and plastic that smells bad and makes lots of noise a 'She'.
"Old Blue" is a 'Him'.

I'm not one to name my cars either, but shortly after purchase, my girlfriend gave the '66 the nickname "Pamela"

Pamela - Because it's hot looking, draws a lot of attention from males, and is made of plastic.

My girlfriend and I end up thinking of my '58 as Katharine. Looking at the car reminds me a lot of Katharine Hepburn. Curvaceous, confident, graceful, elegant. And perfectly capable of ripping your throat out.

Not long after getting my '59 my wife got me a key-chain for it that was a 1 oz. silver ingot with a picture of a bullet on it - hence the name "Silver Bullet".

My randomly-assigned license plate number contains the letters SDS, as well as the appropriate numbers "283", and so I've decided that the letters stand for "Sunday Driver Special".

But I never actually use either of the above names - in practice it's just "the Vette".

When my great-uncle died, 10 or 12 years ago, I basically inherited his old car, a '68 Olds Delmont 88 (like a Delta 88, only with no options). It had a 455 in it, but with a 2 barrel carb! Also, no AC, and a huge, black vinyl bench seat in the front. It was a dark drab green, the same color as a little wooden roller coaster ride at the Great America park in Gurnee, IL. My kids would slide around on bench seat so much that they thought riding in the car was just like riding in the roller coaster. So they gave it the name, "The Whizzer".

Josephine, because she’s a running machine! The 396 425 can really run! What torque, I’ve taken off in 3rd gear and not even realized it.

57: Webster (named after the original owner)

97: ACAR (All Corvettes Are Red - named by the original owner, James Schefter)
(Also the license plate)

00: Wet Vette (named by me for the original owner after winning a lawsuit against Kerbek for selling an alleged flood vehicle)
(Also his license plate - I hope to get it as well) **Got it!**

My '67 is named and taged as "TOY-1" because I like to play with it, and still do after 31 years. Dennis

I always thought that a good name for a dog or cat was "Dammit".

That way the dog or cat would always know it was being called when you yelled out the door, "Get in here, Dammit!"

Well, my 66 will be sporting an LS2 and sidepipes. That will make it mean, but not reeeaaaaally mean - maybe just a little meanie. Since it will Laguna Blue, I may just call it the "Blue Meanie".
