I plan on driving my c2 up to Carlisle this year. A few questions for those of you old timers. I usally go up on Friday, and spend 5 to 8 hours, I don't stay overnight. Can I park my car on the grounds, or do I have to get parking outside. If I can park on the grounds where is the best place and what is the procedure? Tks. tjf
In order to park your car inside on the fairgrounds you must register your car and pay a registration fee. You will recieve a real nice "goody bag" a "Dash Plaque" and several other little items. This allows you to have the car within the facility and as you shop its much easier to stash you bounty in the car instead of walking outside the grounds across the streat etc.
This is know as the "Funfield", but you might want to consider is the price of registration worth one day to you. Most people come for two or more days....regardless, I would pay, as you will be with all your Corvette family and everybody will look at your car....BTW if you register, go to the 63-67 Registry, and you will be able to park your midyear closer on the field to the activities....
unless you are "registered" for one of the fun displays, etc. - you will be directed to the "Hill" for parking - of course, parking does fill up, so you need to get there realitively early
