carter afb linkage
I have a 64 with the carter 3721 carb, it doesn't have the power I think it should and I believe at least some of the problem is the secondaries are not opening. The carb has been worked on and I suspect the linkage is somehow not correct. I would sure appreciate it if anyone could post pictures, or links to pictures, of correct linkage setup. Thanks, Dave

Use a popsicle stick to tip open the auxillary air valve, then have someone in the drivers seat floor the throttle. You should observe both primary throttle valves open fully.
If not, dig out your 1963 Corvette Shop Manual and 1964 Supplement and check and set to spec all the various linkages, levers, and cams.

Thanks Duke, that was how I had determined I had a problem in the first place. Believe I have it solved now. Thought that there was a problem with the linkage on the carb but now suspect it was related to the choke being closed. Discovered that with that out of the way I was still not getting the secondaries open, the throttle was just not moving the linkage far enough. I removed it and added some bend and now it looks like it everything is opening right up when fully depressed. Still have to drive it. Thanks for the reply. Dave
