Default C1 rebound strap source?

My 59 has 5-leaf heavy duty rear springs that prevent me from using the standard length rebound straps that were purchased from Corvette Central. Does anyone know where I could buy some strap material that is similar, but in longer lengths?

Coves,

I found belts at an army surplus store that were very close looking to what my 58 once had. It will not pass NCRS scrutiny but for my driver they worked awesome. They were 4.00 each so I figured I could not go wrong. I will be near that store sometime in August so if you can not find a solution near you let me know and I will pick up a set and send them to you. I believe I have some pieces left over, so if you want to see them e-mail me with your address and I will send you a piece.

Good luck.

Thanks, my58. I'll check out a couple of army/navy surplus stores here in Dallas. If I don't turn up anything, I'll give you a shout.

One of the previous owners on my 62 used seat belt material for the rebound straps. They work just fine.
